Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Saad Shaheen, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Al-Zahra, Prof. Dr. Mazen Al-Hawaz, the Internal Medicine branch of the Faculty of Medicine in Al-Zahra organized a workshop on cardiopulmonary resuscitation in cooperation with the Basra Education Directorate and the hall of the School of Gifted in Basra.
The workshop, which was held by Dr. Firas Rasheed Sayel, Head of the Internal Medicine Branch, and attended by Chief Engineer Alaa Aoun Ali, Head of the Environmental Education and School Health Division, included training educational cadres on how to rescue patients with sudden cardiac arrest by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
