Assistant Professor Dr. Miami Kazem Youssef, a lecturer at Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, published a research entitled “The Mothers’ Concept of Diarrheal Diseases”.
The study was conducted to identify the extent of mothers' knowledge about diarrheal diseases that affect their children, as diarrheal diseases are still one of the main causes of death for children under the age of five. The study showed the lack of mothers' knowledge of the causes of disease, methods of prevention and initial treatment at home, which calls for increasing awareness and education of mothers.
