Colonel Thaer Hattab Razouqi, Civil Defense Officer - Basra, visited Al-Zahraa College of Medicine on Wednesday, 10-24-2023, to review the plans and safety regulations followed in the college, where some basic points were discussed for the safety of students, teaching staff, and employees in the event of a fire or any damage affecting Public safety, including developing an emergency evacuation plan in the event of a fire or electrical short circuit in the building, training college staff on the mechanism of evacuating students and staff in the event of a fire, selecting some employees as responsible and guiding elements when an emergency occurs, and developing a detailed plan for the entry and exit ports in each area. One floor of the building, special safety equipment and clothing were prepared, and the Civil Defense Directorate confirmed holding courses on an annual basis to educate students and staff to deal with the crisis that occurs and methods of immediate first aid.
