The respected Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Hamza Abbas, Consultant General Surgery and teaching staff at Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, participated in a scientific symposium on breast cancer on 11-30-2023 at Al-Maqal University.
During the symposium, he discussed the important causes of the spread of cancer, methods of early diagnosis, and appropriate surgical, biological, and chemical treatments for the disease for each stage of the spread of cancer. He stressed during the symposium the necessity of adhering to the monthly routine examination to avoid reaching late cases of the disease that lead to the removal of the entire organ and exposure to chemical treatments that It has a negative psychological and physical impact on the patient. We also point out the necessity of men committing to testing based on the disease prevalence rates of 95% for women compared to approximately 5% for men.
