Participation of Al-Zahra College of Medicine in a scientific symposium on benign and malignant pancreatic diseases at the Iraqi Society of Surgical Oncology - Basra

The Iraqi Society for Surgical Oncology, in cooperation with the Hospital for Digestive and Liver Diseases and Surgery, the Basra Health Department, the Iraqi Doctors Syndicate - Basra Branch, the Basra College of Medicine, and the Al-Zahra College of Medicine, held a scientific symposium entitled ((The Real Challenges of Benign and Malignant Pancreatic Diseases)), and sponsored by AstraZeneca, during which he attended. The respected Dean, Professor Dr. Mazen Hawaz Abdul Redha, and the respected lecturer, Dr. Wissam Hamza Abbas, presented during the symposium many special topics for benign and malignant pancreatic diseases and surgery, where the most common types of pancreatic cancer were identified, which is Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), the cells lining the ducts. During the symposium, the most important risks of the disease were presented due to its role in the production of digestive enzymes, methods of early detection, surgical intervention, and chemotherapy or radiotherapy depending on the cases of the disease.
