Under the patronage of the Honorable President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, and the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Jawad Ramadan Fadl, the respected Faculty of Medicine, Al-Zahraa College of Medicine participated in the annual exhibition of scientific products, which is considered a step in the university’s role in optimal marketing of scientific products and investing in the economic returns to support projects and develop centers. Research by solving the problems facing society, as well as harnessing the university’s outputs from research and projects for the purpose of development and marketing to advance scientific, economic and social development. During the exhibition, a large group of patents, doctoral dissertations, master’s theses, certificates, and graduation projects for the completed classes were presented. With an exceptional and distinguished work, Professor Dr. Hussein Kati Abdel-Sada, the respected head of the Microbiology Branch at Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, who holds five patents, presented a set of models printed by a 3D printer of skeletal structures that were created to bring the idea closer to the students, especially dealing with some pathological conditions that affect the skeleton, such as Fractures, bone cancer, etc. for students to see these cases in real life. These projects will also be developed in the future to open the horizons of 3D printing for many diseases of the human body and methods of treating them.
