A workshop was held at the Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, Organ Physiology Branch, on the special Power Lab device for conducting multiple experiments in medical specialties that are useful to students, primary and postgraduate studies, and research for teachers by lecturer Dr. Arwa Faiq Al-Shakli, teaching at the College of Girls’ Education at the University of Basra.
Recently, it has provided advanced equipment for developing new learning and research strategies, not only for undergraduate students but also for postgraduate students. The workshop aimed to become familiar with the Power Lab device, the vital role of the Power Lab in teaching and research, and also discuss the applications of the Power Lab. Data acquisition systems (DAQ) such as the Power Lab system find wide applications in teaching and research. Therefore, the workshop recommended that colleges acquire the Power Lab device to higher education laboratories specifically life sciences, physiology, nursing medicine and pharmacy. It can enhance teaching and research in educational institutions and bridge the gap in learning and research to meet the requirements of global scientific progress.
