Clinical Exam (OSCE) for Sixth-Year Students at Al-Zahraa College of Medicine

Al-Zahraa College of Medicine recently held an OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) for its sixth-year students, marking the final exam for the second batch at Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, University of Basra. The exam was organized with students passing through twenty diverse stations, spending six minutes at each station. During this time, they faced various medical cases covering multiple medical specialties. The exam was supervised by professors and doctors from the Basra Health Directorate, adding a practical dimension for the final evaluation of the students.

The exam stations included various medical scenarios that required students to handle cases using their theoretical and practical skills. Modern mechanical technology was used in some stations to assess the students' abilities to handle medical devices and conduct precise examinations. Additionally, the exam involved interaction with real patients, giving students the opportunity to apply their learned communication and practical diagnostic skills under the supervision of physicians.

These diverse stations aim to assess the students' abilities in diagnosis, treatment, and comprehensive medical care. The students showed great interaction and demonstrated a high level of professional competence, reflecting the quality of medical education provided at the college.

This final exam underscores the importance of practical training and continuous evaluation in preparing new doctors and equipping them with the necessary skills to face future medical challenges. The collaboration with the Basra Health Directorate enhances the practical value of the exam, contributing to the improvement of health services provided to the community.
