Assistant Professor Dr. Waleed Al-Hashimi from Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, University of Basrah, has published a research paper in Informatica, a Scopus-indexed journal, titled:
"Enhancing Data Integrity in Computerized Accounting Information Systems Using Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning Algorithms Implementing a SEM-PLS Analysis."
The study explored the applications of machine learning algorithms to improve data accuracy and consistency in computerized accounting information systems. Using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (SEM-PLS) method, the research analyzed data from 163 construction companies in China employing Building Information Modelling (BIM).
The results revealed that integrating artificial intelligence algorithms improved data integrity by up to 27% and error detection by up to 35% compared to manual methods.
This groundbreaking research highlights the pivotal role of artificial intelligence in enhancing financial decision-making and operational control systems, establishing new insights into AI applications in the finance domain.
