In the context of enhancing scientific collaboration and academic exchange between universities, Al-Zahraa College of Medicine received a delegation from the University of Hilla on Thursday, January 16, 2025. The delegation was headed by Professor Zainab Ali Hussein, Dean of the College of Medical and Health Technologies at the University of Hilla, accompanied by Dr. Saif Mohammed Hassan, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs.
Proposal for Scientific Cooperation
The visiting delegation proposed signing a scientific cooperation agreement that includes several important aspects, such as:
- Exchange of Visits : Strengthening interaction between faculty members and students of the two universities through academic exchange visits.
- Connecting Electronic Libraries : Enabling mutual access to electronic libraries and exchanging academic and informational resources between the universities.
- Organizing Joint Scientific Activities : Holding joint workshops, seminars, and scientific conferences to promote cooperation and knowledge exchange.
- Conducting Joint Research : Developing joint research projects that enhance research capabilities and contribute to scientific advancement.
Reception and Welcome
Assistant Professor Dr. Jawad Ramadan Al-Kharsan, Dean of Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, welcomed the proposal for cooperation and expressed the college's readiness to sign the agreement according to the regulations of the University of Basra. Dr. Jawad praised the importance of this initiative in enhancing scientific collaboration and developing the educational process to benefit both students and faculty members.
The Meeting
The meeting was attended by Professor Haitham Hussein Ali, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sadiq Hassan, Coordinator of the Surgery Department. The details and necessary steps for implementing the agreement were discussed to ensure the achievement of the desired objectives from this cooperation.
