The Department of Biochemistry is one of the clinical departments that was established in the same academic year of Al-Zahraa College of Medicine Foundation in 2017. Initially, the department was based in the College of Medicine in Basra until 2019 and from 2019 to the present day, the Department of Biochemistry was established on the campus of Bab Al-Zubair Colleges.
