Assistant Professor Dr Nehaya Mnahi Al-Aubody published a scientific research paper about the rate of blood clotting among patients with sickle cell disease. The paper was published in the Indian Journal of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, which is an international journal indexed by Scopus. This paper aims to compare the difference in the number of blood platelets, average bleeding time and average clotting time between patients with sickle cell anaemia and healthy people in the control group. The study showed an increase in the number of blood platelets and a decrease in the rate of bleeding time in patients with sickle cell anaemia, while there was no difference in the rate of clotting time between people with this disease and healthy people. The research concluded that there was an increase in the platelet clumping process in patients with sickle cell anaemia.
