
Al Zahraa College of Medicine at the University of Basra organized a distinguished scientific seminar titled "Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Principle and Application," attended by faculty members and heads of departments from various scientific disciplines. The seminar aimed to shed light on the PCR technique and its vital role in various research and applied fields.
The seminar, conducted by lecturers Dr. Ban Mohammed Saleh Saeed, Dr. Faraqd Majid Mohsen, and Dr. Elham Mohammed Jawad, covered multiple topics including the basics of PCR, explaining the principles of the technique, how it works, and its fundamental steps. The lecturers also discussed the applications of PCR in medicine, highlighting its role in diagnosing genetic and infectious diseases and identifying genetic mutations. Additionally, the seminar addressed the latest innovations in PCR by reviewing the most recent developments and advancements in the polymerase chain reaction field and enhancing its efficiency.
