The Prime Minister is keen to reduce official doses

Taking into account the conditions of high temperatures, especially peak times, and with the aim of reducing the burden on citizens in general and employees in particular and rationalizing electrical energy consumption.
The Prime Minister directed the following:
1. The official start time in all government institutions in the governorates, except for the capital, Baghdad, is at seven in the morning and the end of work is at one in the afternoon.
2. Governors are empowered to suspend official working hours in all government institutions, including central departments not affiliated with the governorate operating in their governorates on days when temperatures reach (50) degrees Celsius or more.
3. Work continues in all government institutions in the capital, Baghdad, according to the timings mentioned in Council of Ministers Resolution (24213) of 2024, taking into account the following two amendments:
a. Providing the start time of official work by one hour according to the classification indicated in the aforementioned decision.
B. Reducing the number of official working hours by one hour at the end of the working day, so the end of working time will be two hours earlier than the time in effect before this directive (one hour due to the advance, and an additional hour due to the reduction).
4. Official working hours will be in accordance with the times mentioned in this directive, starting from Sunday 6/23/2024 until Thursday 8/29/2024, then the times in effect before the issuance of this directive will be resumed.
5. The competent minister has the right to extend work outside the timings mentioned in this directive in cases of necessity, and in accordance with the law.
