Al-Zahraa College of Medicine in Basra started the new general study for the sixth stage . The first specialization of the study has been allocated to what is known as the "introductory stage", which focuses on introducing students to the various curricula and departments within the college, in addition to organizing orientation lectures on the proposed intermediate study.
The semester is scheduled to begin studying the "Neuropsychiatry Block" as the first study unit in this semester. This unit includes the study of chronic and psychological diseases, with a focus on diagnosis, treatment, and the skills necessary to provide health care to patients. The curriculum includes theoretical lectures, practical lessons, and training in clinics, under the factor of professors specialized in the fields of psychiatry and neurology.

This academic year is important for amateurs, as it represents the last year of their medical education before graduating and joining the medical community as practicing doctors. The dean of the colleges and professors expressed their hope to achieve the desired results from this year and acquire the professional skills necessary to excel in achieving the future.
