The President of the University, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, announced the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to transfer students from the Faculty of Education in Qurna to the Faculties of Education.

The President of the University indicated that the travel instructions stipulate that students are allowed to travel to and from the colleges that are at least 100 kilometers away from each other.

He added that the instructions received from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research stipulated that the promotion of transactions should be paper and for a period of one week from 10/9/2024.

He pointed out that this measure is the first of its kind, which comes in line with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in alleviating the burden of students' families, taking into account scientific sobriety in universities, and that the University of Basra is ready to transfer students from the College of Education to the colleges of education according to the instructions issued and within the stipulated period.
