Basra University held a condolence council this morning in honor of the soul of the martyr, the esteemed cleric and symbol of the Lebanese resistance, Mr. Hassan Nasrallah (may his grave be blessed), along with a protest against the Zionist aggression and a solidarity march with the Palestinian and Lebanese brotherly peoples.
The President of Basra University, Professor Mohanad Jawad Al-Asadi, stated, "We extend our condolences to the Master of the Age and Time, our esteemed religious authorities, all factions of the resistance, and the Islamic nation for the martyrdom of the Lion of the South, Mr. Hassan Nasrallah, who was assassinated by the treacherous hands of the Zionists. Today, we gather to hold this memorial event, which is attended by a large group of professors, students, and affiliates, to also honor all the martyrs of the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon, and to declare our humanitarian and brotherly solidarity with the Lebanese people through our organization of a campaign to collect in-kind and financial donations, which will be distributed to the displaced in southern Lebanon. The martyrdom of the cleric and leader of the Lebanese resistance, Mr. Hassan Nasrallah, will mark the beginning of the launch towards liberating the Palestinian territories and its capital, Jerusalem, from the defilement of the usurping Zionist entity. With God’s help and victory, He is the ally of the believers and the mujahideen."
