University of Basra commemorates the first anniversary of the events in Palestine

And stands in condemnation of the attacks on the Lebanese people

This morning, the University of Basra commemorated the first anniversary of the launch of the Al-Aqsa Intifada, which was launched by the Palestinian resistance factions in early October 2023, within a religious forum that also included a solidarity stand against the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, in the presence of a large gathering of deans, professors, employees, college students, elementary school students, and representatives of the Directorate of the Popular Mobilization Authority and civil society organizations and institutions.

In a special statement, the University's Assistant President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Rashk, said, "Today we stand in remembrance of the blood of the martyrs of the Al-Aqsa Intifada and in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples by reciting the supplication (Ahl al-Thughr) narrated by Imam Ali bin al-Hussein - Zain al-Abidin, peace be upon him - which calls for supporting the oppressed and praying for the destruction of the oppressors. Today we stand to raise our voices to convey to the entire world that we are all Hassan Nasrallah... we are all Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis... and victory and honor for all Muslims."
