The study titled "Factors affecting the effectiveness of conservative management of appendicular mass" by Assistant Professor Dr. Haitham Hussein, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs at Al-Zahraa College of Medicine aims at determining factors affecting the effectiveness of conservative management of appendicular mass. The study, which was published in the "Polish Journal of Surgery", within Scopus indexed found that factors like the age of the patient, duration of symptoms prior to hospital admission, size of the mass, complications, hospital stay, and outcome are reviewed. Conclusion: conservative management of appendicular mass in children should be revised particularly in children younger than 5 years old, wherein operative treatment may be the first option.
