With the blessing of God Almighty, the preparatory procedures have begun for the launch of the “Basra Smile” initiative to treat patients with cleft lip in children free of charge, by receiving patients who were identified by communicating with them and who are from poor families and completing their medical and legal procedures in preparation for conducting surgeries for them by the specialized plastic surgical team. It is noteworthy that this initiative was launched by the Iraqi Society for Medical Research and Studies with the participation of the Iraqi Medical Syndicate / Basra Branch and the University of Basrah to support our needy families in Basra Governorate under these difficult circumstances.
