The University of Basra, under the patronage and presence of the honorable President of the University, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen, organized a ceremony to raise the Husseini flag on the occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, on the Ashura commemoration, with the participation of its professors, students, and affiliates.
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology, represented by the Dean of the College, Dr. Salma Abdel-Baqi Mahmoud, participated in the revival of these blessed ceremonies, on Wednesday, 8/11/2021 at Bab Al-Zubair Complex.
The ceremonies witnessed Hussainiya speeches that recalled the heroic stances of Imam Al-Hussein, peace be upon him and his pure family.
It included an affirmation that Karbala would remain a method of reform and sacrifice for the sake of religion and principle.
